Horses of Honor: A Chicago Public Art Installation

Horses of Honor is a public art installation benefiting The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation. Designed to resemble the Chicago's Mounted Patrol Unit horses, the Horses of Honor will stand for providing support to the families of those men and women who have been killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty. In 2014, I painted "Charlie", sponsored by Peoples Gas, honoring officer P.O. Nathaniel Taylor #7322. Nearly $150,000 was raised for the foundation last year thanks to all of the wonderful sponsors.

This program was such a hit last Fall that it is happening again this Summer!  I have always loved working on artwork meant for the masses, especially when it is for a good cause. This year's program is off to a good start and I am excited to get started on a new horse very soon! Be sure to contact me If you or someone you know would like to sponsor a horse for this wonderful cause. The new horses will go on display throughout Chicago this Summer.
